Basic FunctionManage, cultivate, and grow strategic partner marketing relationships with Susan G. Komen national sponsorships and/or cause marketing programs through effective management of program objectives, methods of implementation, and adherence to Letters of Agreement. Serve as the point of contact for assigned partnership programs for all internal departments and corporate partners. Generate new revenue for the organization through leveraging upselling opportunities, as well as, driving overages through the successful implementation of partner programs and campaigns. Ensure that the strategic initiatives and business objectives of both Susan G. Komen and its partners are achieved.
Manage a portfolio of existing national corporate partners that conduct cause related marketing programs benefiting Susan G. Komen. Partnership management can include:
Day to day management and stewardship of the partner program and relationship, serving as the primary point of contact between the partner organization and Susan G. Komen.
Develop and implement overall partner strategies for assigned partnerships each fiscal year.
Develop and implement marketing plans for each partner program/campaign
Produce weekly/monthly status reports for partnership calls.
Serve as the liaison with other Komen department for partnership / program updates and activation details.
Communicate partner program updates and program performance both internally and externally, as well as, provide an annual partnership recap.
Drive all negotiation/renewals of Letters of Agreement for assigned national partners.
Ensure fulfillment of assets and acknowledgments as described in partners’ Letters of Agreement.
Use creativity and ingenuity to generate revenue for the organization by:
Proactively creating strategic brand alliances with targeted corporations.
Negotiating program deal points and executing Letters of Agreement.
Participating in ideating for proactive new business activities.
Serving as account manager for new partners once agreements are executed.
Developing overall partnership strategy and program implementation to enhance existing partner activation and ROI. Serving as a liaison with the Affiliate Network team(s) to ensure partners and Affiliates receive appropriate updates and information including preparation of partner toolkits.
Assist with regular financial forecasting and reporting for partner performance including:
Completion of Monthly Variance Reports. Review and analysis of partner sales and performance reports. Submission of quarterly partner payouts to Komen Affiliate network.
All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience Required
7-10 years of experience in fundraising, sponsor relations, account management, event planning or project management for a national company/brand or non-profit organization. Must have strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Must be team-oriented. Experience with affinity programs is highly desired. Experience with consumer-packaged goods, retail, financial, travel or restaurant industries a plus.
Preferred ExperienceStrongly prefer non-profit management experience with an understanding of the non-profit environment guidelines/standards related to corporate programs, contributions, and individual donations. Previous experience managing partner marketing programs, including proven success in upselling and/or year over year revenue growth.
Specialized Knowledge RequirementsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Suite (requires strong spreadsheet, PowerPoint, and database application knowledge).
