Basic FunctionJoin us to lead, design and build the next generation engagement platform for Susan G. Komen to transform our business and drive donor engagement, acquisition and retention!We are seeking a Creative Leader to direct all graphic and website design, email design, digital advertising, video, photography, promotional assets, direct mail and more for Komen’s affiliate organizations. This role is a creative force who can work across many teams and understand the nuances of daily project management. Further, the successful leader can translate concepts easily to all stakeholders to sell in ideas.The Manager, Creative Design & Web develops the necessary creative strategies and assets required to attract and engage new doers and donors, reach/exceed financial goals and build the Komen brand by driving traffic, revenue and maximizing efficiency in digital and direct response marketing channels.He/She must be able to work effectively and efficiently with a high degree of cross-functional coordination across Komen headquarters and the affiliate network. The role develops creative content in line with the Komen brand identity and our desire to retain and inspire our existing donors/volunteers while attracting new ones. The leader will leverage his/her expertise to support and expand digital campaigns across our multi-channel mix.From a strategic standpoint, the successful candidate must possess a strong understanding of what makes a powerful narrative and how it's best repeated across audiences leveraging digital platforms; i.e. how to tell a story using words, images, video or audio and an understanding of how creative content can draw an audience. The ideal candidate should possess an extensive background in digital marketing and/or communications. He/She should be connected to Komen’s mission, and motivated to enhance one of the world’s best-known and most trusted brands.
Primary Responsibilities• Support digital engagement programs with rich media content including graphics, photos, and videos; as well as posting activities such as Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, SlideShare, Vimeo, YouTube and other interactive social media tools and platforms• Create appropriate imagery for social media and web updates• As needed, design and produce collateral material ensuring all graphic design work meets brand standards; including but not limited to: o Identify and design appropriate icons, images and other graphic elements to be included in various marketing materials o Work with the team on ad campaign development and execution, collateral design, event material, etc. o Support the web components of ongoing marketing campaigns, warm landing pages, forms, auto responses and subscriptions o As needed, assist in creating targeted email communications and lead nurturing programs. Design copy and graphics and occasionally build in HTML. o Create landing pages and optimize content to drive conversions. o Develop marketing strategies and designed creative assets for a variety of multi-channel digital campaigns, including responsive landing pages, social ads, and print direct response marketing to drive revenue and elevate organizational brand.• Design, develop, and project manage Komen’s affiliate website design and user experience.• Work closely with the Digital Engagement team to create strategies to increase donor conversions and increase target audience funnel.• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external creative leads, agencies and freelance artists• On an as needed basis, work with external integrated engagement agency to design and build email campaigns• Create PowerPoint/Keynote presentation materialsand freelance artists• On an as needed basis, work with external integrated engagement agency to design and build email campaigns• Create PowerPoint/Keynote presentation materials
Minimum Experience RequiredThe ideal candidate will have:• BS Degree or similar college level education• 7+ years experience in graphic design and web experience, in-house or agency creative position.• Excellent eye for graphic design and typography and the ability to deliver constructive feedback on projects to the creative team.• Great communicator, both in conveying design best practices and project• Exceptional portfolio of digital creative work spanning websites, micro sites, email, social media graphic and campaigns.• Proven track record in digital marketing including:o experience delivering brand communications via digital and direct to consumer marketing campaignso experience working across different functions related to digital engagement including digital media marketing, SEM, SEO, eCommerce, social media, mobile development, web development, analytics, CRM and user experienceo experience delivering effective and innovative digital strategies across digital and social and content.• Strong and effective creative project management and ability to lead and direct outside resources• Ability to manage multiple projects on various levels with different and converging timelines• Intellectual and visual curiosity. Optimistic about future possibilities and a catalyst for change.• Strong collaboration and partnership skills. Ability to effectively influence stakeholders and gain consensus at all levels of the organization.• Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, and ability to generate, analyze and interpret data• Ability to translate complex and varied inputs including digital behavioral data and analytics, market research, industry and competitive trends and more, into a clear, cohesive narrative that leads to actionable strategies.
