    Job Description:

    Basic Function
    Susan G. Komen is seeking a Sr. Front End Web Developer to help build the next generation Komen web and mobile applications. The Sr. Front End Web Developer will be an experienced and senior member of the development team, building and working on enterprise grade software systems and web applications that leverage modern front end development technology stacks. You will both lead and collaborate on projects with other development and technical resources, business subject matter experts and product managers, and others to design, develop and maintain best in class web interfaces.

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Lead the effort of architecting and migrating from our current CMS to the next-gen CMS platform.
    • Lead architecture discussions, make and drive technical decisions.
    • Contributing at an individual level in the completion of design, development, and implementation tasks
    • Translate design mockups/wireframes into usable websites and/or rich media with regards to SEO, and usability and accessibility best practices
    • Assisting and guiding web developers in the completion of project related tasks
    • Collaborating with designers to create engaging and beautiful digital solutions that meet business and user needs
    • Work collaboratively with strategy and creative teams and other developers
    • Maintain expertise in existing rich media tools as well new tools and technologies being developed
    • Partner with Marketing and Design Leads to manage multiple bodies of work and align against business goals and audience
    • Create well designed, testable, efficient HTML/CSS/JS/XML, determine technical requirements, and solve code problems
    • Work within existing code and CMS platforms to build out pages and make edits to existing pages with supplied content
    • Maintaining and improving front-end code bases across a variety of Komen web properties
    • Upgrade site content and graphics, monitor performance and results, identify and evaluate improvement options, introduce creative solutions, and tag pages properly with taxonomy
    • Clearly communicate with all stakeholders while recognizing potential risks and opportunities to obtain the best results
    • Ensure deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements, in an environment where priorities often compete
    • Develop and QA site layouts by clarifying goals, designing functionality, categorizing content, and funneling traffic through content
    • Participate in feature development and product roadmap planning
    • Optimize applications for responsiveness, cross-browser compatibility, and performance
    • Collaborate with back-end developers and web designers
    • Write functional requirement documents and guides
    • Ensure high quality UI/UX standards and brand consistency
    • Stay up to date on emerging technologies
    • Other duties as assigned

    Job Qualifications:

    Minimum Experience Required

    The ideal candidate will have:

    • 5+ years of experience coding in HTML, CSS, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience
    • Hands on experience using responsive web development principles, including experience with CSS/JS frameworks such as Bootstrap and Foundation
    • Proficiency in writing semantic HTML markup
    • Familiarity with requirements techniques such as user stories, use cases, and informal modeling
    • Experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting cross-browser and cross-platform issues
    • Experience in developing user interfaces that communicate with APIs

    Preferred Experience

    • Experience developing for a wide variety of platforms, such as WordPress and .NET
    • Passionate about bringing UI designs to life
    • Affinity for web/Application security
    • Working knowledge of IIS
    • Experience using version control
    • Strong communication skills and experience working in cross-functional environments
    • Creative thinker with a vision
