Basic FunctionAssists with design, development, monitoring, measurement, evaluation and promotion of breast cancer education projects of a moderately complex nature. Helps to ensure reader-friendly, safe, accurate, culturally responsive and evidence-based messages are consistent across the organization.
Primary Responsibilities• Assists the Education & Support Manager with design, development, monitoring, measurement, evaluation and promotion of new educational programs.• Manages the review and update of existing educational materials to ensure the information is current, safe, accurate, consistent, reader-friendly, culturally responsive and evidenced-based.• Gathers information on educational resource needs based on input from staff, surveys and/or scientific research findings and contributes to educational resource development or revisions as needed.• Acts as point-of-contact for the Education & Patient Support team for Shopkomen.com to ensure materials are in stock and current, monitor sales reports, and track and report usage.• Provides technical expertise to staff via the helpdesk ticket system (JIRA) and myKomen to review and edit materials with breast health/cancer information and respond to questions, clarify issues, provide information or guidance related to materials or messages as appropriate.• Triages and assigns helpdesk requests for Fact Checking queue in the Jira Helpdesk system for the Mission team.• Gathers and reports information for metrics for assigned projects or programs.• Assists with the planning, coordination and facilitation of staff trainings related to breast cancer content including the design, development of curriculum, audiovisual aids and support materials.• Maintains a broad working knowledge of latest breast cancer information.• All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Experience RequiredThe ideal candidate will have:
- BS or BA in health education, health communications, public health or a related health field- 2-5 years of experience in a health education or health related field.- Project coordinator experience with program design, development and evaluation in a health education, health communications or public health environment.- Intermediate-level knowledge of breast health/breast cancer issues and information.- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to successfully support cross-departmental initiatives and projects.- Customer service oriented.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred ExperienceCertified Health Education Specialist (CHES)
Specialized Knowledge RequirementsStrong computer skills (prefer Microsoft Office Suite)
