    Survivor

I was in the shower when I found something hard. On September 25th, I was diagnosed with breast cancer and my world stood still. Going through surgery and chemotherapy, I have realized that nothing matters except the will to live. Love, empathy and compassion…I didn't know I had them until I saw a lady who was just diagnosed, crying. When I was admitted at the hospital, I went to her room and showed her my mastectomy site and told her all will be well. And hugged her cuz I know just exactly how she felt. She hugged me tight. I felt great. Talking to someone that has gone through this is the best therapy and support.
