Test result from the Oncotype DX was 34, over 31 is a high risk rate. My recurrent rate is 51%. I have two different types in the left breast, DCIS Ductal Carcinoma In Situ and IDC Invasive Ductal Carcinoma, stage 1 and 2. Something on the right breast. The test was benign. I don’t qualify for the targeted chemotherapy due to “clusters” that were removed. Met with my medical oncologist UofA Cancer Center. Strong chemotherapy was suggested for the first step after surgery, strong radiation, then pill form 5 years. I would never do chemotherapy. Too damaging, I have a heart condition, I already know it will come back. I beg you to not treat cancer patients any differently. Don’t ask them constantly how they are feeling, just engage in conversation, they don’t want your pity, your continued friendship and support, do not act as if cancer is contagious, we are living with it on a daily basis and cannot take a break. God does have the reasons and plans. http://www.lauraleesutton.org/ My site dedicated to my fight.
