Debbie did it!

I had 16 chemo treatments, 2 lumpectomies and 35 radiations…I never stopped working . I was a special education teacher. I would have chemo treatments in the morning and go teach after it. What I want you to know is life does not have to stop because you have cancer. It will just get busier and you will be tired. The medical profession always tried to accommodate my schedule! I can now look back on my year of treatments and realize how wonderful people are, the support is amazing! One day, to my surprise, the staff wore scarves so I would not stand out ! I would not wish it for anyone but you can get through it, and you can look at it as a learning experience.
