Susan G. Komen is honored to be supported by many wonderful
partners who share our passion in finding the cures for breast cancer. Since 2012, one of our most passionate
partners has been the WWE and its fans. Over
the past seven years, WWE has raised more than $2 million to support our fight
to save lives. One aspect that makes this partnership so successful and unique,
is the active engagement and commitment of WWE’s Superstars, such as Titus
O’Neil, who fights every day in honor of his grandmother.
Titus – also known as Thaddeus Bullard – lost his grandmother
to breast cancer when he was 17-years-old. “She has missed so much. So much has
happened. I’ve graduated from college, I’ve had two sons, I’m now a WWE
Superstar. I wish she had an opportunity to experience my accomplishments. If
she were here today, she’d be the loudest one in the crowd.” It was through his
grandmother that Titus learned his determination and passion for our cause. “She
used to say, ‘it’s time to stand up and fight together as a team and together,
we will dominate this.'"
Without partners like WWE or Titus O’Neil, we wouldn’t be
where we are today and we won’t be able to reach our Bold Goal of reducing the
current number of breast cancer deaths by 50 percent in the U.S. by 2026. Through
their generosity, we are able to educate millions of women and families about
breast cancer and raise crucial funds for breast cancer research, education,
screening and treatment. We thank you, WWE and Titus.
