  • 1 package red kidney beans 

  • 1 medium onion, chopped

  • 1 stick butter 

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar 

  • 1/4 cup ketchup 

  • Salt 

  • Black pepper 



  • Wash the beans and remove any bad ones. Parboil the beans on low for half an hour.

  • Put the beans and remaining ingredients in a crock pot and cover with water. Cook until tender (4-8 hours).

  • Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
