Ingredients

  • 4 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped

  • 3/4 cup water 

  • 1/4 cup white sugar 

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 

 

Directions

  • Add apples, water, sugar, and cinnamon to a saucepan, and place on stovetop over medium heat. Cover the mixture and cook until apples become soft (about 15-20 minutes).

  • Set aside the apples until cool. Using a fork or potato masher, mash the apples.
