3 medium baking apples, cored, sliced thin
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons flour
1 cup quick oats
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoon heart-healthy margarine
Set temperature of the oven to 325�F.
Combine all of the filling ingredients in a bowl. Mix well and then place mixture into a 9 inch baking dish.
In another bowl, mix the quick oats, vanilla extract, cinnamon, brown sugar, and margarine. Mix the ingredients only until it has a crumbly texture. Place an even layer of the topping mixture over the apples.
Bake the apple crisp for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown and the apples are tender. Serve immediately or allow to cool.
