We’re thankful for the support of these partners, alliances and joint initiatives that share in our commitment in the fight against cancer.
Susan G. Komen is a member of several alliances and coalitions, where we work together with other organizations to identify best practices, build consensus, and provide a unified voice about the unmet needs, critical issues and direction of breast cancer research, policy and care. Learn more about some of them below.
We partner with organizations in the US and around the world to support community-based programs that address unmet needs of breast cancer patients, survivors and their families. Along with our Affiliates, we partner with more than 1,500 community organizations around the U.S. to address barriers in the breast cancer continuum of care by pooling resources, sharing lessons learned, reducing duplicative work, and uniting partners around a set of common goals. These community-based programs provide a broad range of educational and support services, including breast health and breast cancer education, breast cancer screening services, and information and support to patients, survivors and families during a breast cancer journey. They help those facing financial challenges, such as paying for medication or getting transportation to and from treatment, and help to bridge the gap for medically underserved people who are actively going through breast cancer treatment. See some examples of our community partnerships below.
