Susan G. Komen for the Cure is proud to be the recipient of funds raised on board PCL ships through On Deck for the Cure® walks.

The Princess Cruises Community Foundation has donated more than $1 million to Komen for the fight against breast cancer through fundraisers on dozens of their ships, with guests making a donation benefiting Komen for the Cure and participating in five-kilometer walks on the vessels’ open decks. The Foundation donates 75 percent of each registration fee to Komen for the Cure, with a minimum guaranteed donation of $450,000 through 2014. The funds raised will support life-saving Komen research grants and community outreach programs in the LA County area.

Following the walks on the ships’ promenade decks, participants enjoy a post-walk reception poolside with refreshments and snacks. The minimum donation is $15 and all participants receive a special baseball cap with the On Deck for the Cure and Komen logos.
