Ford
Ford is proud of its 19-year National Series Sponsorship of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure®. To date, Ford has dedicated more than $120 million to the cause. Their commitment goes beyond raising funds. They know the importance of awareness and early detection and are working to increase breast cancer awareness--last year creating over one billion media impressions. Ford also encourages its employees to participate. More than 75,000 Ford employees have participated in Race for the Cure® events and thousands of Ford's dealers support the Race in their areas.
Ford Warriors in Pink Models of Courage
Every person affected by breast cancer begins a journey. Ford Warriors in Pink helps support that journey. Warrior symbols, which signify strength, courage, hope, love, unity and remembrance, appear on Warriors in Pink wear and gear sold at www.fordcares.com. In 2012, Ford introduced the Models of Courage, nine women and two men, all breast cancer survivors, who model all things Warriors in Pink and act as ambassadors, reaching out to help and encourage others facing the disease.
On October 1, 2012, Ford debuted “Bang the Drum: Living out loud in the face of breast cancer." The documentary features their Models of Courage sharing their stories of inspiration. The documentary is available to view on the Ford Warriors in Pink site.

National Media Campaign:
In addition, Ford supports the Komen mission further by implementing a national media campaign to connect with women 365 days a year. Ford embraces the power behind celebrities and genuine television partnerships to bring greater awareness to the cause. Warriors in Pink has most recently joined forces with the following partners to help in the fight against breast cancer: NBC Today Show, CBS The Talk and The Price is Right, and the men and women of CBS.
Warriors in Pink:
The Warriors in Pink initiative is designed to complement Ford’s
sponsorship of the Race for the Cure. As such, the Warriors in
Pink apparel collection features bold symbols that embody the
Warrior credo of taking charge, living out loud, harnessing power
and standing together. From May 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012,
Ford will donate a minimum of $250,000 to Susan G. Komen through
this program. The actual per product donation amount is available online
at www.fordcares.com. Susan G. Komen is one of four breast cancer charities
that consumers can select at the time of purchase to receive this donation.
