"Over the years, BMW of North America has partnered with numerous organizations—but I am especially proud of our ongoing relationship with Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Currently in its tenth year, The Ultimate Drive program continues to be successful, thanks in large part to the hard work and dedication of the hundreds of participating Komen Affiliates and BMW dealerships nationwide. It is truly a grassroots effort that gives communities a pro-active role in the fight against breast cancer. Thanks to new developments in breast cancer research and screening techniques, breast cancer patients have over a 95 percent survival rate if the disease is caught early. The road ahead looks promising."

    A Word from New Balance

"From the outside, or to the uninformed, Race for the Cure® is just another event. However, to those involved and participating, it is the discovery of one of the most heart-warming, emotional experiences of our time! Women have been quiet for so long while the disease of breast cancer has taken them, our precious loved ones, from our lives, dismantling our families in the process.

As a national corporate sponsor of Race for the Cure®, New Balance Athletic Shoe has vowed to be in this race until a cure is found!"

    A Word from RE/MAX International

"When RE/MAX was founded in the early 1970s, we were among the few major networks welcoming women into the real estate business. And now, after 30+ years of growth, much of what we've accomplished would not have been possible had it not been for the women of RE/MAX.

So when RE/MAX joined forces with Susan G. Komen for the Cure in 2001, it was a natural fit. It was a way for us to say "thank you" for all that women have done for us. The fight against breast cancer hits close to home for the RE/MAX family. More than a few of our members have faced the disease—and sadly, some have lost the battle. And as a breast cancer survivor myself, I know full well how it forever impacts those afflicted, as well as their families, friends and colleagues.

Lives are saved each day because of the work by Komen for the Cure. And it indeed warms my heart to see the thousands of RE/MAX Affiliates donating their time, effort and money to support such a noble cause as the Komen organization."
