View video highlights of Nancy G. Brinker and Hala Moddelmog at the Affiliate Leadership Conference, held at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. Under the rallying cry of "We Will," breast cancer advocates gathered to share inspiration, knowledge and strategic plans as they strengthen their commitment to do whatever it takes to realize our vision of a world without breast cancer.
Education is a vital part of our promise because with education, women and men become more aware of how to detect breast cancer early and how to get the most from their treatment options should they be diagnosed. We provide educational videos from two sources: Healthology and Komen News for the Cure™.
View our newly updated videos on our Breast Cancer: Your Guide to Breast Self-Awareness DVD highlighting the four key messages of breast self-awareness: know your risk of breast cancer, get screened, know what is normal for you and make healthy lifestyle choices. There are specific action items associated with each message to help you take charge of your health. Illustrations that represent the eight warning signs of breast cancer that should be reported to a health care provider are included. These messages can be used to increase awareness and empower people to take action. These videos also recap the history of Susan G. Komen and the impact Komen has made since its inception. The DVD includes content in English, Spanish, Arabic and Hindi (each language has a subtitle option). The DVD is available for sale at ShopKomen. Item number KOMEED202000.
