SAN ANTONIO - December 9, 2010 - Only half of women in their 40's are getting regular screening mammograms and an even higher percentage of women in the 50's and older are foregoing the best screening tool available today, according to a new study released Thursday at the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium. Offiicials from Susan G. Komen for the Cure call the newest study worrisome.

Komen for the Cure officials continue to urge women of average risk for breast cancer to begin getting regular annual screening mammograms starting at the age of 40.
