    • 8 ounces of sliced pineapple

    • 1/4 cup pineapple juice

    • 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs

    • 1/2 cup sliced green onion

    • 1/2 cup chopped sweet red bell pepper

    • 1 tablespoon reduced sodium soy sauce

    • 1/4 teaspoon salt

    • 1 pound ground turkey breast

    • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce



    • In a bowl, combine the bread crumbs, onions, red pepper, soy sauce, salt, and pineapple juice.

    • Crumble the turkey over the mixture and mix well, but do not over-mix.

    • Form burgers and grill, covered, over medium heat for three minutes on each side.

    • Brush with teriyaki sauce and grill 4-6 minutes longer on each side or until meat is no longer pink.

    • Grill pineapple slices for two minutes on each side, basting with teriyaki sauce.

    • Serve on buns and top each burger with a pineapple slice.
