Susan G. Komen is proud to partner with an organization that has had a storied tradition for 87 years, The Harlem Globetrotters. Since their inception in 1926, the team has become one of the most recognizable franchises in sports. The Globetrotters have been giving back to the community since their inception through programs such as health and wellness education, anti-bullying, and now breast cancer awareness on behalf of Susan G. Komen. This partnership will allow Komen to reach a new audience with key messaging and continue to spread awareness around breast health and breast cancer.
For the 2013 “You Write the Rules” Tour, the Harlem Globetrotters will be playing a portion of each game with special pink basketballs, carrying in-venue messaging through PA announcements and logo placements, and by selling pink Globetrotter wristband sets with $1 from each set going to benefit Komen. You can also look for them on the road in their traveling tour bus that will be carrying the Komen logo. With 275 event stops throughout the season the Harlem Globetrotters hope to spread our positive message of hope across the country. As a special offer, the Globetrotters are providing a ticket discount, 25-percent off (excluding courtside) to their current North America tour to Susan G. Komen. Go to www.harlemglobetrotters.com
