 2009 marks Susan G. Komen for the Cure and Pier 1's thirteenth year in partnership. Pier 1's array of items that benefit Komen for the Cure include a candle, whose design is remodeled every August, a pink jewelry box, a pink shawl and a reed diffuser. Twenty five percent of the retail sales price of all such items sold goes to benefit Komen.
Additionally, Pier 1 offers a gift card, sold in varying amounts, with a $1 donation returning to Komen. Pier 1 guarantees a minimum donation of $250,000.
