Since 1989, New Balance and Susan G. Komen for the Cure® together have been making excellent happen. In 2013, New Balance is proud to be entering its 24th year as a partner with Susan G. Komen in the fight to end breast cancer.
New Balance has participated as a National Sponsor of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® series since 1991 and the Susan G. Komen 3-Day® since 2004, as well as the Marathon for the Cure program since 2008.

In addition, New Balance contributed nearly $1.9 million dollars in 2012 through its cause-related marketing program called Lace Up for the Cure®. Lace Up for the Cure footwear, apparel and accessories all proudly wear the Komen running ribbon and are supported by unique shoe boxes, product hang tags and in-store signage that explain the symbol’s significance as the icon for breast cancer awareness and New Balance’s commitment to Komen. The Lace Up for the Cure Collection is available at retail year-round.

In 2012, New Balance will continue to donate 5% of the manufactured suggested retail price of the footwear, apparel and accessories sales from the Lace Up for the Cure collection with a minimum guaranteed donation of $500,000 each year to Susan G.
