Basic Function

Works directly with Komen for the Cure leadership to define requirements and develop solution alternatives and estimates. Translates business requirements to specific systems, applications or process designs.
  • Leads review and design concepts for new systems and develops and documents the technical design for the integration and implementation for the software.
  • Performs analysis of enterprise-wide or very complex client needs in project areas such as new business operating models, innovative approaches to IT solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality and operational readiness assessment.
  • Selects and customizes the methodology for the analysis and definition of efficient, cost effective solutions that support client business processes and functional requirements and resource costs. Identifies opportunities for solution sharing or reuse.
  • Identifies alternative uses of technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems and that support overall organization goals that are appropriately aligned with the enterprise architecture.
  • Develops high level solution design. Utilizes broad expertise and unique skills to contribute to the development of organization objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways.
  • Conducts analysis of current business processes and functional requirements. Identifies necessary changes to current business processes. Prepares appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information. Consults on business process reengineering.
  • Influences cross-functional and/or cross-divisional task forces to identify and document functional requirements, workflow, information sources and system specifications.
  • Provides integrated systems planning and recommends alternative technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems that support overall corporate and business goals.
  • Evaluates existing applications that could address client requirements and makes recommendations from complex projects.
  • Advises clients on the consequences of actions. Communicates risks and ensures understanding of these risks. Jointly develops risk assessment of plan with client. Provides on-going project management and status reporting at all levels.
  • Serves as subject matter expert to cross-departmental, common business areas. Provides specialized support to one or more specific business areas.
  • Acts as a liaison between senior leadership and technical staff and/or with development staff through the development life cycle on complex projects. Provides technical direction and support for complex, cross-functional configuration projects.
  • Offers guidance and direction to senior leadership in consulting, planning, and marketing of multiple, complex automated systems.
  • Guides the development of comprehensive and strategic business cases with cost/benefit dimensions of proposed projects and programs that are used at management and senior leadership levels for funding and scope decisions.
  • Oversees application and systems solution development and coordination and evaluation. Leads systems performance and capacity analysis and input.
  • Provides logical/physical input to Operations areas to enable integration of new systems into current infrastructure. May develop, provide advice, and input into project plans.
  • Participates in post-live project activities; including evaluation of success criteria, identification of best practices, lessons learned, and strategies for future releases and deployments.
  • Works with clients to finalize solutions. Oversees implementation of solution recommendations in business area.

Position Qualifications

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with 5 or more years of IT solution design and consulting experience in a fast growing, complex and geographically diverse environment. Strong ability to coordinate methods, techniques, and evaluation of criteria across organizational silos in order to obtain optimal results. Demonstrated ability to guide the transition of technology to scale to the growing business needs of a national, affiliate-model non-profit. Must have solid solution design and consulting experience. Willingness to take personal responsibility for the outcomes resulting from his/her judgment, guidance, and decisions. Ability to exercise independent judgment in method, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Less than 10 percent travel.

Preferred:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology preferred. Non-profit experience is preferred. Salesforce.com certification and Convio experience preferred.
