Survivor

Fight from the beginning.

My survivor story started when I was 6 months old. I was diagnosed with severe asthma. I was in the hospital what seemed like every other week for years. The struggle to breathe is frightening, but now at 33 it isn’t near as bad as it was. When I was 27 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy followed by chemo and radiation. After 6 months I was declared cancer free. 8 months later I got the heart breaking news that is was back and had now spread to surrounding lymph nodes. After surgery, aggressive chemo and radiation I am happy to say I am once again cancer free. I can’t stress enough how important early detection is. It saved my life. I am a survivor!
