Three years after having surgery, chemo, daily radiation ,and brachytherapy, for vaginal vault cancer, I was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. I had been living in a tent on my car port after hurricane Katrina took everything from me, I had to live with the idea of having a mass in my breast until I could get to a doctor . A bilateral mastectomy and chemo later, here I am. It never occurred to me that I could do anything but fight, so I did.
