Bowl for the Cure® is a year-round fundraising and breast cancer awareness initiative sponsored by the United States Bowling Congress (USBC). USBC is the national governing body of bowling as recognized by the US Olympic Committee and is a membership organization that provides standardized rules, regulations and benefits to make bowling fair and enjoyable for everyone. Bowl for the Cure® has raised more than $11 million for Susan G. Komen®.USBC invites everyone to BOWL PINK to raise awareness and funds for the fight against breast cancer. For the fourth consecutive year, Bowl for the Cure is hosting an essay contest to give four lucky women the trip of a lifetime. From Oct. 24 - Nov. 21, 2016, individuals can enter by sharing their personal breast cancer story or by sharing how they’re involved in the fight against breast cancer. No bowling experience required!The four winners will be announced in January 2017, and will participate in an experience that begins in Dallas, TX and culminates at the 2017 USBC Women's Championships in Baton Rouge, LA. The winners will receive a tour of the Komen headquarters, a bowling lesson from PWBA members and a tour of the International Bowling Campus. They will also travel to Baton Rouge, LA to participate in the 2017 USBC Women’s Championships and more. To enter or to learn more, visit bowl.com/fabulousfour.
