Susan G. Komen for the Cure® is proud to partner once more with Belk through its Belk Gives initiative. Starting in fall 2010 and running through 2012, Belk increased their commitment to Susan G. Komen™ with an annual minimum guaranteed donation of $1,000,000 for a total donation of $3,000,000 over three years.

Additionally, Belk and its employees will support Susan G. Komen for the Cure® through the Passionately Pink for the Cure™ program.

Benefit to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® in 2012:
• Columbus Day Weekend event (October 4-8) – Belk will offer its customers the opportunity to receive a set of coupons with a $1 or more donation to benefit Komen
• Customer Appreciation Event (September 28-30) – Belk will donate 1% of all sales in their stores to benefit Komen
• Friends and Family Event (October 17) – Belk will donate 1% of all sales in their stores to benefit Komen
• Wall of Hope (September 17 – October 31) – Belk will offer customers the opportunity to donate $1 to benefit Komen and receive a pink ribbon in honor of a loved one to post on their Wall of Hope
• Belk will sell specially designed breast cancer awareness fleece throws in October with $5 per throw sold benefiting Komen (retail $14.99)
• During October, Belk will offer its customers the opportunity to donate $1, $5, or $10 at checkout to benefit Komen
